Traveling on the Base

• Proceed to the Front Gate area of the base.
• Continue on Vandergrift Boulevard going towards the Main Gate.
• Take the ramp towards Wire Mountain Road
• Make a left onto Wire Mountain Road and continue for a half mile.
• The Armed Services YMCA is located on the corner of Ash Road and Wire Mountain Road

Traveling from I-5 S or N

• Take I-5 to Oceanside and exit Camp Pendleton.
• After entering the Main Gate make the first ramp on the right towards Wire Mountain Road.
• Make a left on Wire Mountain Road and continue for a half mile.
• The Armed Services YMCA is located on the corner of Ash Road and Wire Mountain Road

Traveling on the Base

• Proceed to the main side where Base Headquarters is located
• Continue on Vandergrift Boulevard going towards the San Luis Rey (back) gate.
• At 11th Street turn right at the stop light.
• Fisher Children's Center is located on the left hand side across from the Area 13 Pool.

Traveling from I-5 S or N

• Take I-5 to Oceanside and exit 76 East/Coast Highway and merge onto 76 East.
• Stay on Highway 76 for approximately 5 miles to College Boulevard turn left onto College Boulevard.
• Take College Boulevard for approximately 1 mile until it dead ends, and turn right onto North River Road (this becomes Vandergrift Boulevard at next light). Travel approximately 2 1/2 miles to Camp Pendleton San Luis Rey gate. Be prepared to show the gate sentry a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. If asked where you are going
• Once cleared the gate, continue on Vandergrift to the second traffic light (11th Street). Turn left on 11th Street.
• At 11th Street turn right at the stop light.
• Fisher Children's Center is located on the left hand side across from the Area 13 Pool.

School of Infantry Hours of Operation:

Sat | 10:00am to 4:00pm

Sun | 10:00am to 4:00pm

• From I-5, exit Vandergrift for Camp Pendleton and pass through the main gate
• Continue on Vandergrift, then turn left on Stuart Mesa Rd., after the MCX.
• After 7 miles, turn right onto Las Pulgas Rd.
• After 5 miles, turn left onto Basilone Rd. In 8 miles the SOI rec center will be on the right hand side.
